Tara Vaitiere Hoyos-Martinez (born March 28, 1990) is a beauty pageant titleholder who, representing London at the Miss Universe Great Britain 2010 competition, was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2010 in Birmingham.
Hoyos-Martinez, a student of Medicinal and Biological Chemistry at the Manchester Metropolitan University, intends to pursue a post graduate course in Medicine, with hopes to specializing in surgery.
She will represent Great Britain in the Miss Universe 2010 contest to be held in the summer of 2010, it will be held in Croatia.
Tara is British-Colombian, born and bred in West London, England and proud of her London roots, yet still holds Colombia, (Cali) in her heart. She is fluent in her native English, as well as her mother's tongue, Spanish and speaks French to an advanced level. Tara attended the Grey Coat Hospital School CofE, in Rochester Row, Westminster where she excelled in English Literature, the Sciences, mathematics, modern foreign languages and extra-curricular activities such as dance and drama, prior to this she attended a prestigious primary shool in Sloane Square. Tara has one sister Sharon Marina Hoyos-Martinez.
