LITE : Math-Rock dari Japan

Dibentuk pada tahun 2003 di Tokyo, Lite banyak memainkan pertunjukan di sekitar Tokyo dan merilis dua demo CD. Mereka telah merilis satu mini album, Lite, dan satu album full-length, Filmlets, melalui Transduksi di Inggris dan Cargo di Eropa.

Band ini terdiri dari Takeda Nobuyuki (gitar), Kozo Kusumoto (gitar), Juni Izawa (bass), dan Akinori Yamamoto (drum).

Sound Lite menggabungkan ketepatan dan musik prog rock dengan komposisi sinematik emosional art rock, dalam sebuah paket, berat yang lebih modern yang mereka gambarkan sebagai "math-rock".

Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas

Lupakan Pee Wee Gaskins atau Second Civil yang ga' enak didengerin, ataupun Killing Me Inside yang berubah genre. Inilah generasi baru bnad Jepang yang layak di dengar & di koleksi.

Band ini memadukan riff-riff gitar yang berat dengan dentuman-dentuman elektronik dalam setiap lagu-lagunya, dan ini yang membuat band ini berbeda dengan band JRock lainnya, seperti One OK ROck atau Larc 'en Ciel. Vocal berat nan sangar dirasa kurang, maka masuk lah So (ex. Bombreligion) untuk posisi clean voc. Hingga band ini beranggotakan 6 orang hingga saat ini.

Band ini berbeda dengan band-band jepang yang sudah terkenal pada umumnya, bagi saya Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas adalah 1 dari sederatan band-band yang lahir dari Modern Scene di jepang, dan band-band dari scene ini, umumnya memiliki arah kiblat dalam bermusik ke musik-musik barat dan musik-musik modern atau yang sedang berkembang disaat ini.

Dan, oleh karena itu rata-rata band tersebut beranggotakan orang-orang dengan umur yang masih terbilang muda. Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas sendiri rata-rata berumur 21 tahun
