Pudgie's Pizza Radio Jingles

Pudgies Pizza is a chain of pizza restaurants located in Upstate New York and parts of Pennsylvania. To me, this was the only pizza there was. Sadly, my hometown Pudgies in Sayre, Pennsylvania is no longer in operation, but there are still more of them serving "goodtime" pizza and subs to lucky locals. My fondest memory is getting kicked out one night because an out of control friend of mine threw a slice of pizza across the room and flat onto the wall. We were banned for a month. Thanks.


Here's two radio jingles that bring back the memories of when all it took was a slice of pizza, some sunshine and smile on your face to make everything A-OK! I like the 70s jingle the best; short, catchy and funky! In typical 80s fashion, the jingle was doubled in length and the drum machine is pounding away while girls work out in leg warmers. But hey, it's all good. By the way, you'll hear mention of "Horseheads" in the 80s song. Horseheads is a small town in New York. Seems each Pudgies battles for superiority with other Pudgies!

Bob & Annetta Glickman - FAME

Billed as "the duo with the 5-piece sound", these performers from Orlando, Florida are definitely one of many who inspired those wacky guys and gals from SCTV. Not sure of the release date, but it must be very early 80s given that they recorded "Fame". The rest of the LP consists of older material, but also includes "The Gambler". They bear a strikingly odd resemblance to Ed Begley, Jr. and Andrea Martin which just add to the fun of it all. What they lack in talent, they make up for with sheer sass! You will have the chorus of - "REMEMBAH!, REMEMBAH!, REMEMBAH! ..." lodged into your brain for the next few weeks. I apologize in advance for this post.
