In 1973, before becoming TV's Garth and Barth Gimble, Martin Mull's "Dueling Tubas" made the Billboard Hot 100 (well, the lower end) alongside popular hits of the day like "Walk on the Wild Side, a pre-Hallowe'en reissue of "Monster Mash" and the Dickie Goodman-produced "Superfly Meets Shaft" by John and Ernest.
